Under Medicare’s non-directive pregnancy counselling items, we provide psychological support for any pregnancy related concerns. This includes support regarding pregnancy options including adoption and termination.
We provide cognitive and diagnostic assessment to explore a range of difficulties, including attention, memory, concentration, social concerns, emotional regulation, cognition, and academic achievement. We can also provide tailored recommendations and reports to support School Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) on request. We can provide these assessments for clients aged 6 and above.
At Sage Psychology and Assessment, we believe in providing an accessible and sustainable service. A standard session is approximately 50 minutes and fees are below.
We require a full session fee deposit at the time of booking to confirm your initial appointment which will go toward the cost of your appointment, once attended. Should you fail to attend the appointment or not provide 24 hours' notice to reschedule, the deposit will be forfeited.

Senior Psychologists also hold registration with AHPRA and may or may not have an area of endorsement (e.g., clinical psychology). Senior Psychologists have advanced clinical expertise and have experience supporting clients with more complex needs. They also support the clinical governance of our practice, provide leadership to our team, and support early career clinicians through supervision and training.
Our Psychologists hold registration with AHPRA and may or may not hold an area of endorsement (e.g., clinical psychology). All Psychologists have completed at least 6 years of university and on-the-job training to obtain registration. They provide comprehensive psychological therapy and assessment and can confidently manage more diverse presentations.
Our Provisional Psychologists are early career clinicians, completing student placement or an internship as part of their requirements to gain general registration. Provisional Psychologists have completed a minimum of 4 years university training and are building their clinical experience under the support and supervision of a registered psychologist.
Allied Health Assistants have a minimum of 3 years tertiary education in a health discipline. They work closely with and under the guidance of a registered health professional to help clients achieve specific goals. Sessions with Allied Health Assistants are better suited to clients who are seeking more practical skill building support.
NDIS participants accessing our service are session charged fees in line with the price guide. Fees are subject to change as the price limits change.
Costs of assessments vary depending on a range of factors, including the assessment measures required and the number of sessions.

Supervision with Dr Mikaela Grayson or Chloe Charlton is $270 (exclusive of GST where applicable) for a 50 minute session.
Our cancellation fee is clearly outlined in the Client Consent Form you will receive prior to your first session. If for some reason you need to cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Medicare and health fund rebates cannot be claimed for missed appointments. Rebates from Private Health funds vary, so it is important you enquire with your health fund to determine what rebates apply for you. Services provided by a Provisional Psychologist are not eligible for Medicare or Private Health rebates.
Depending on the reason for assessment, clients aged 25 years and younger may be eligible for a rebate under the Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Eligible Disabilities Scheme. A referral must be obtained from your Paediatrician or Psychiatrist (for assessment of Autism) or from your GP (for an assessment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) in order to be eligible for a rebate.
